Happy days at Paris!

Exactly a month ago, I visited one of my favourite cities: Paris! As I was wandering in the streets, somewhere near Quartier Latin, I saw it..! It was exactly what I was looking for, as I was hungry..! A 50's diner restaurant: Happy Days.
Excellent decoration! Simple, but fabulous with many interesting items from the past: juke boxes, records, signed objects, neon signs and many pictures os beloved artists!
The food was typical american diner's food and delicious! But the best of all was the strawberry milkshake I drank!! Yummyyyyyy!!!
Here are some photos of it to get a clue:

I strongly recommend it, if you ever visit Paris! Me, I'm waiting for the next time..! :)

Margarita: THE Cocktail (my cocktail:))

I found this in a website (sorry, I don't remeber which one) and I loved it. Margarita is my favourite cocktail!
I drink this all summer and sometimes in winter (in winter I drink more Bloody Mary and stout, actually).
So here is the simple but magic recipe:

I usually do this at my place with freshly squeezed lime and no triple sec. And of course salt:) It's lighter and  equally delicious! Try it! :)

Style of the past - Amy Winehouse

Although I'm not a real fan of her music, I have to admit that I always liked her style.
I'm talking about Amy Winehouse who left this world very soon. I won't say anything about it; only that a talented and tortured girl has gone. But I'll say about her style.
First of all, I rrrrreally liked the scarfs, flowers and hair bands that she wore on her head over her giant hair! Very 50's! I had hated her blonde attempt..gggrrr..awful! Fortunately, she realized the mistake soon..

Now, the clothes were the most times gorgeous! Very rockabilly and pin up style! I adored the animal printed tops and skirts, the gingham dresses, the red bra( ;-P), the shirts and polo of her Fred Perry collection, the skinny jeans and the ballerinas. She was a modern pin up girl and she was a real style icon.
Here are some of her stylings that I really liked and that are close to mine:)

Of course, I have to mention that I'm very keen on the designs of her tattoos- excellent choices!- and the cat-winged eyeliner. She was lovely, but also a diva! RIP Amy, you're a style icon to me.-

Cat eye glasses: Is there anything more 50's?

When I bought a pair of white ones a few years ago and wore them, some of my friends laughed at me. Now that all coming back to the retro style (something that I am not so keen on.. :-/), half of them are looking for a pair of them. I believe they are very stylish and definately super-representative of the fabulous decade! I will always wear them, no matter what;-)

Cat-eye glasses are a form of eyewear mainly for women. They are thick-rimmed glasses with the arms of the glasses joining the lenses at the very top corners. They were mainly popular in the 1950s and 1960s among fashionable women.

Notable wearers of cat eye glasses were: Marilyn Monroe, Barbara Windsor, Dinah Manoff, Mary Whitehouse, Amy Lame, and Barry Humphries as Dame Edna Everage, amongst others. Audrey Hepburn's use of them in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's was notable.

Soap & Glory

The last time I visited my beloved London, of course, I visited The Boots! I spent almost 2 hours in there and I discovered many treasures! But one of them is precious! I'm talking about the brand Soap & Glory.

Its products have the best style, packaging, labels, spots, pictures and names I've ever seen! Of course, the quality and the quantity of them worth their money.

This brand also has products for men. I bought the "Righteous Body Butter Lotion" which has a wonderful smell and a perfect bottle. It makes skin soft and its perfume lasts.

I could upload photos of all the products! They are all perfect! I LOVE THEM! :)

Old Athens by V.E.Zoulias

One Greek fashion designer I admire is Vassilis Emmanuel Zoulias. His creations are the items i dream of! They are exactly the style I adore. Inspired by the 40's and 50's, he brings a nostalgic, romantic and pure air in today's fashion.
